Michael J. Dobbins, 57, of Marinette, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at Aurora Baycare in Green Bay. He was born on June 20, 1957, to the late George and Janet (Stang) Dobbins in Marinette.
 He attended Marinette High School and UW-Marinette. Michael had worked in the construction business for a while and then served his country in the United States Navy from 1988 to 1994. Following service, he worked as an X-ray Technician in California and Washington. He moved back to Marinette in 1998, and worked at various locations welding. Michael was a jack of all trades and enjoyed astronomy, gardening, wine making, fishing, and spending time outdoors. His love of the outdoors, sparked another passion, photography, especially of the Menominee Lighthouse. He also loved spending time spoiling his grandkids.
  Michael is survived by a son, Michael Dobbins II of Menominee; two daughters: Chassidy Dobbins of Marinette and Mary Dobbins of Clinton; three brothers: Steven of Crivitz, George (Linda) of DeForest and Tom (Kim) of Marinette; two sisters: Donna Hruska of Mobile, AL and Mary Kay Dobbins of Green Bay; five grandchildren: Ashlynn, Tyler, Brookelynn, Michael III and Henry; and many other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Scott and infant sister, Debra Jean.
  A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
