Mary "Mert" C. Livermore

Mary "Mert" C. Livermore, 63, of Marinette passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014, at home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 3, 1950, to the late George and Christine (Meixensperger) Chaudoir in Escanaba.
She graduated from Holy Name High School in 1968. On April 24, 1971, Mary married Dennis Livermore in Escanaba. She was a home maker until moving to Marinette in 1988. She worked at Haase Shoes and then WestLund Bus Lines for many years. In 1994, she began working at the Peshtigo Post office and had been then there for 17 years, enjoying the people she worked with, only retiring because of her illness. Mary enjoyed reading, camping, traveling, golfing, ATVing, knitting, bird watching, and going to casinos. She was a member of Holy Family Parish.
Mary is survived by her husband of 42 years, Dennis; a son, Brian Livermore of Marinette; a daughter, Paula (Tony) Crowley of Green Bay; brother, Mike (Gayle) Chaudoir of Escanaba; sister, Pat (Rich) Salo of Grand Rapids, Mich.; three grandchildren: Ella and newborn twins: Tatum and Miriam; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer; sister, Carole Nelson; and her son, Justin.
Friends may call at the Thielen Funeral Home on Friday, February 14, 2014 from 1:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish-St. Josephs Parish, at 5 p.m. with Reverend Bob Karuhn officiating.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
A special thanks to our family, friends and neighbors for all the help during Mary's illness over two years. Also thanks to Dr. Halaweh, nurse Kate and staff; DaVita Dialysis employees and nurse Linda for special care; the Aurora Lab for the extra care every week; the many the nurses at all the facilities that helped Mary. Additional thanks to nurses, Eric and Tina of Heartland Hospice, and extra special thanks to her mother in law, Doreen, who helped whenever needed.
