Mary Louise "Marilu" Kline, 83, of Wallace, Mich., passed away Monday, July 8, 2013, at Sun Valley Homes in Marinette, Wis. The former Mary Louise Rickinson was born on September 5, 1929, in Carbondale, Mich. to the late Clifford and Thelma "Sadie" (Parrett) Rickinson.
Marilu attended Stephenson High School. On August 14, 1948, she married Walter "Wally" Kline in Menominee, Mich. Marilu worked for the Glove Factory and Woolworths. Marilu and Wally traveled extensively throughout the United States, Hawaii and Europe. She enjoyed baking, cooking and taking care of her family. Her husband and family were Marilu's greatest treasures. She further enjoyed crafts, painting and making Christmas cards. Most importantly Marilu was a church going person and woman of strong faith in her Lord. She was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church where she was active in the Ladies Aide.
Survivors include her children: Kenneth "Ken" (Vicky) Kline, Cheryl "Sherri" (Tim) Plutchak and Melissa "Missi" Wachal; son-in-law, Jim Heim; grandchildren: Mark (Kara) Kline, Nadine (Jared) Markiewicz, Amy (Brian) Wagner, Chris (Michelle) Plutchak and Ashley Wachal; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters: Shirley Roubal, Nancy Herson and June Kosewski. Marilu was preceded in death by her husband, Wally; and daughter, Susan Kline-Heim.
Family and friends may call at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Wallace, Mich., on Friday, July 12, 2013 after 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Pastor Cori Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in Mellen Township Cemetery.
