Mary E. Schuchart, surrounded by her family, God unexpectedly welcomed one of his cherished souls into his arms on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Mary E. Schuchart, 88, a lifetime resident of Marinette was a remarkable, caring, gentle, loving person. Mary was born to Louise (Janssen) and John Liegeois on August 16, 1925, in Menominee.
She was married to Robert J. Schuchart on August 19, 1950, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Water St. in Marinette. She worked for 25 years for the Marinette School District as the Visual Aids/Library Secretary at the Middle School where she retired in 1987. Mary enjoyed knitting and crocheting slippers and baby gifts, cooking and baking (her famous apple pie), watching her cardinals in her yard, angel collecting, and playing the piano as well as the organ. She cherished and loved her family activities such as Packer and Brewers parties, attending the grandchildren's activities, and her Liverpool card club. Some of her favorite memories included the BS & W camp outings, family weddings, boat trips, trips to Europe and looking at pictures of her beautiful grand and great-grandchildren. Mary was a member of the Holy Family Parish, the Altar Society and an active volunteer for the BAMC Auxiliary working in the Information Center and Gift Shop (where she was their best customer).
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Bob Schuchart; daughters: Nancy Sebero (Steve Waugus) and Linda (Dennis) Reum; son, Steve (Patti) Schuchart; grandchildren: Elizabeth (Steve) Kingsley, Andy (Jenn) Sebero, Laura (Ryan) Francour, Dan Schuchart (Monica Rodero), Jim (Regan) Schuchart, Tyler Reum and Alyson Reum; great-grandchildren: Jessica, Gavin, Chase, Drew, Jordy and Alexander. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Bill and Bob Liegeois and her sisters: Rachel Liegeois, Helen Doran and Rosalie Beckham. Family and friends may call at Thielen Funeral Home on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 5 p.m. Monday at Holy Family Parish-Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Taylor St.
Entombment will be in Forest Home Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary's name to the BAMC Auxiliary fund would be appreciated.
May she be dancing with the Angels to the Green Green Grass of Home.
