Mary “Dolly” Maske

MARY “DOLLY” MASKE, 88 of Menominee, MI, passed away on Saturday August 23, 2014, at Bay Area Medical Center. The former Mary Elizabeth Freiss was born on April 23, 1926, in Menominee, MI, to the late Joseph and Mary (Frankard) Freiss.
On September 27, 1947 Dolly married Clarence “Honey Boy” Maske in Menominee, MI. Honey Boy preceded her in death on November 10, 1994. Dolly was a homemaker and also worked for Boreal Glove Factory from 1944-1953, Ceil’s Flowers, Mur-Mil Flowers, Petal Pusher Floral and Everard’s Floral. Dolly enjoyed going to her cottage for the summer, going out to eat, sewing and baking. She further enjoyed being in the outdoors. Dolly volunteered many hours of her time at the Menominee County Museum and Bay Area Medical Center. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church where she served on the funeral lunch committee for many years, Christian Mothers, and a VFW Auxiliary member for over 60 years.
Dolly is survived by her daughters: Mary Jo (Gary) Dal Santo of Marinette, WI, Terry (Bill) Demler and Tama “Tammy” (Scott) Bergeon, both of Menominee, MI; grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Rebecca (James) Kitchenmaster, Hana, Nolan and AJ; Amy (O’Rando) Jones, Aiden, Jayden, BJ and Drew; Nicole Dal Santo; Zachery (Jessica) Demler and Elise; Cassandra Demler; Nickolas and Erin Bergeon; and special nephews: Mike, Pat and Tim McCarthy. Dolly was preceded in death by her sister, Joanne McCarthy.
Visitation will take place at Anderson Kell Funeral Home on Thursday, August 28, 2014, after 4 p.m. The vigil prayer service will begin at 7 p.m. with Father Ryan Ford presiding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for the repose of the soul of Dolly Maske at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2014, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Ryan Ford presiding.
Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
