Marion Leone Mineau, 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, due to natural causes. She was born on May 6, 1919, in Marinette, to Charles and Mary Norman, of Menominee, Mich.
Marion was a proud graduate of Bellin Hospital School of Nursing of Green Bay in 1940. She married Elmer X. Mineau on October 12, 1940. Marion and her family were long time members of Grace Lutheran Church in Green Bay. She devotedly raised six children, and was able to enjoy summers at her childhood home, "The Cottage", on the Bay with them. The cottage has served as "Anchor" for the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren each summer. Mid July was the extended family picnic time at cottage with up to 80 persons in attendance. Marion was a loving mother who delighted in sharing her cottage home with others. Everyone was welcomed. Cooperation, tolerance, and goodwill was expected. Marion enjoyed remembering others birthdays and anniversaries with cards and continued this ministry into her 90's, and enjoyed the monthly luncheon of the Bellin Allumni.
She is survived by her children: Arline Lichtfeld of Monona, Roger (Cindy) Mineau of Green Bay, Robert (Peggy) Mineau of Little Suamico, Carol (Greg) Pauson of Daggett, Mich., and Brian (Nancy) Mineau of Green Bay; daughter-in-law, Mildred Mineau of Forrest Lake, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and close family friends: Dan and Alan (Bud). Marion was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Mary Norman; husband, Elmer; son, Norman Mineau; sisters: Violet Pawlowski and Alrine Mix and Doris and Frank Bartel.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
