Margaret Raminger, 96, of Menominee passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette. Margaret was born in Menominee on July 28, 1916, to William and Sena (Christianson) Hendrickson.
On December 31, 1934, she married Joseph Raminger; he preceded her in death on February 16, 1993. Margaret worked for the Richardson Hotel for 20 years and for the Menominee Hotel for 9 years. She then worked at North Shore Golf Club, retiring in 1981. Margaret was a member of the Legion of Mary, St. Ann's Sodality, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Menominee County Historical Society. She was also an honorary member of the Mothers of Multiple Blessings.
Margaret is survived by three daughters: Mary Jane (Griffin) Lindsay of Marinette, Pam (Todd) Gunderson of Menominee, and Susan Lynn Philipps of Marinette; two sons: James Joseph Raminger of Escanaba and Gary Raminger of Marinette; two sisters: Florence Brofka and Clara Bundy, both of Peshtigo; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; daughter, Carol; three granddaughters: Lillian, Angela, and Kim; two son-in-laws; a daughter-in-law; and five sisters.
Visitation will be held at Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home, on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m.
Burial will be at Birch Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Menominee Animal Shelter.
