Margaret I Behrendt, passed away on September 15, 2013, at Rennes Health Center-East in Peshtigo. She was born in Menominee on October 30, 1915, to Albert and Jessie Seidl.
  Margaret attended Washington School in Menominee, and graduated from Menominee High School in 1933.  She was married to Norman Behrendt on January 17, 1940, and they celebrated 50th wedding anniversary in June of 1990. Her husband preceded her in death on November 12, 1990. Margaret was a member of First United Methodist Church of Marinette where she served on numerous committees and also sang in the choir. She was a former President of Garfield PTA. She worked for the Marinette Red Cross Blood Mobile for 36 years, and also served as President of the Marinette Women's Club.
  Surviving are her two daughters: Bonnie (Skip) Bohse of Oregon, Wis., Joni Behrendt of Carlisle, Penn.; and five sons: Jeff (Nancy) of Marinette, Greg (Jean) of Marinette, Brad (Ellen) of Marinette, Perry (Minerva) of Menominee, Nick (Leslie) of Grand Rapids, Mich., nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, many nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Agnes Behrendt. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Helen and Jeanne; one brother, Dr. Roger Seidl, and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Seidl. 
  Friends may call after 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at First United Methodist Church in Marinette.  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. in the church with the Rev. Kevin Dembinski officiating.
Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home is serving the family.
  In lieu of flowers gifts may be sent to the Marinette Rescue Squad, The Red Cross or the United Methodist Women's Group.
