Lesili "Cissy" Rose, 69, of Menominee, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013, at the Luther Home in Marinette. Lesili was born on July 12, 1943, to the late Tauese Tamasea and Fiaapia (Osasa) Mata`afa in American Samoa.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Lesili enjoyed playing Bingo and games on the computer. She played the Ukulele and also liked camping.
Lesili is survived by one son, Jr. (Kristi) Rose of Marinette, daughters: Tammie (Wade) Schafer of Big Rock, Tenn., Jacqueline Rose of Menominee, Juliette Sword of Honolulu, Hawaii, Lanie Ashworth of San Diego, Calif., and Jessica (Marty) Gauthier of Menominee. She is also survived by seven sisters: Toto`a, Uomamae, Emi, Ofusina, Vaolele, Talaleu, and June; two brothers: Piliati and Pino; 11 grandchildren: Kenneth (Alisa), Austin, Alexis, Autumn, Hanalei, Keoni, Kalani, Leo, Lisa, T.J. and Eric. Lesili was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Worma and sons: Derek Kaililaau and Falaniko "Nusi" Falaniko; two brothers: Taifau and Laki.
A Memorial gathering will be held at Jr.'s House on Thursday, May 30, 2013, 432 Carney Blvd, Marinette, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Cissy's family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the cancer center staff at BAMC and Aurora Health Center in Green Bay. Also the staff at the Luther Home for the amazing care they gave her.
