Leo "Bud" Sam Piasecki, 84, Crivitz, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. He was born on February 16, 1929, in the Town of Grover to the late Michael and Helen (Tomaszewski) Piasecki.
He graduated from Crivitz High School in 1947, excelling in basketball and track, and played baseball for many years for local teams in the Wishigan League. Leo married Janet King on July 8, 1961, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Crivitz. He was an avid sportsman. Hunting, fishing, golf and bowling were also his favorite past times. He was a school bus driver for the Crivitz School District for over 30 years and enjoyed farming his entire life.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Janet; four children: Michael (Kay) Piasecki, Crivitz; Daniel Piasecki, Crivitz; Julie (Dennis) Chilcote, Crivitz; Kathryn (Eric) Breland, Glendale; seven grandchildren: Joshua and Johnathon Chilcote, Benjamin, Hope and Josephine Breland, Dominic and Henry Piasecki; one sister, Diane (Don) Kotecki, Crivitz.  He was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother: Anne (Donald) Steffen, Sophie (Leonard) Du Charme, Elizabeth (Donald) Rost, Frances (Louis) Robin, Frank (Lucille) Piasecki, Victoria (Max) Nohlechek; four nephews: Robert, Peter, Mark and Mike.
Friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Crivitz, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. Parish Wake Service 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at the Funeral Home Saturday from 9 a.m. until leaving to Church. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Walter Stumpf officiating.
