Lela (Francour) Swendson, 96, passed away June 6, 2013, at her son Mark's home in Indiana.
Lela graduated at age 16 from Peshtigo High and moved to Green Bay to her sister Lucille Lord's home to attend business school and work in a lawyer's office. She moved to Milwaukee to work and subsequently met and married Richard Swendson. They owned Beulah Lane Farms outside of East Troy until his passing in 1975. She later moved to Clearwater, Fla., and has spent the last eleven years in Minnesota and Indiana.
She will be greatly missed by her son and her daughter, Christine (Robert) Cochran; four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
