Larry "Snipe" Dura

Larry "Snipe" Dura, 68, of Marinette, passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 19, 2013. He was born on January 13, 1945, son of the late Jacob and Mary (Plosczysnki) Dura.
Larry married the former Cheryl Durocher on February 19, 1966, at Holy Family Church in Marinette. Larry was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, ice races and spending time with his family and friends. He retired from working at Beihl Construction & Excavation.
Larry is survived by his wife, Cheryl; three sons: Rick "Taco" Dura and special friend, Diana Borowski, Paul Dura and special friend, Kim Wojciehowski, Mike "Spike" and his wife, Michele (Chmela) Dura; two daughters: Brenda Dura and special friend, Travis Emmes, Kris Plym and special friend, Todd Stehle; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by six brothers: Jim (Betty), Ray (Rosalie), Len (Laurie), Dan (Kaye), Tom (Theresa) and Bob (Lori); five sisters: Mag Miller, Julie Weber, Mary Jane Buzek and special friend Tom, Rita (Lloyd) Angwall and Clare (Lou) Miller. Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law: Marvin Miller, Ken Bohling and Kojak Fritzjunker.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home from 4 to 7:30 p.m. with a parish wake to follow. Visitation continues on Tuesday, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Peshtigo from 10 a.m. until time of funeral mass at 11 a.m. with Father Richard Allen officiating.
Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Marinette.
