Kenneth E. Richards, 75, Porterfield resident, passed away April 19, 2013 unexpectedly  in his granddaughter's arms. He was born June 12, 1937, in Marinette to the late Leo and Alice (Larson) Richards.
Ken graduated from Marinette High School. Ken served in the Army National Guard  32nd Division. He married Audrey Gerbyshak, October 27, 1962, at St Joseph Church in Walsh due to a fire St. Mary's Catholic Church in Crivitz, and their wedding reception was the last in the old Crivitz Town Hall before it was torn down. He wore many different hats throughout his life to include working at the Loomis Cheese Factory, Wausaukee Boat Factory, Karguard, and retireing from Ansul. He then became the founder of the ICE BURG ice cream shop in Crivitz. They just celebrated 50 years together this past October 2012. Ken was a member of the Crivitz Knights of Columbus, St. Mary's Catholic  Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. His favorite saying if things weren't going quite so right was HIHO Hang In and Hang On life is a roller coaster. Ken also enjoyed his motorcycle, old cars and playing his guitar. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. 
Survived by his loving wife, Audrey; two daughters: Alice Rollins and Charlene  Miller, both of Marinette one brother, Harlan Richards of Las Vegas and grandchildren: Casey, Robert Rollins, Stephanie, Andrew and Benjamin Miller;  brother-in-law, Richard Gerbyshak.  
Friends may call at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home in Crivitz, Wednesday, April 24, from 8 a.m. until time of going to St. Mary Church for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.
