Kathleen Ann (Tonn) Darrow

Kathleen Ann (Tonn) Darrow, 58, of Marinette, passed away Saturday, April 15th, 2017, at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center in Green Bay. She was born April 22nd, 1958, in Oconto, to the late Gerald and Nancy Tonn.
Kathleen graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1976, and later enrolled in a micro computer specialist program at NWTI of Green Bay. She held various jobs throughout her life, most notable of them as a newspaper delivery person for approximately 200 customers, receiving an award for #1 delivery person. On March 17th, 1983, Kathy married her soulmate, Wayne Darrow in Seaside, Calif. A member of the United States Army, Wayne received orders to report to Germany in February of 1994, and they lived there for six years. From there they went to several other bases in Kentucky, Tennessee and Georgia. On July 17th, 1990, their son, Wayne II, was born and eight days later Wayne received orders to report to Afghanistan for Desert Storm, where he was deployed for nine months. On May 4th, 1991, Kathy gave birth to their daughter, Michelle, in Ft. Stewart, Ga.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Wayne Darrow of Marinette; her son, Wayne II of Marinette; her daughter, Michelle of Oconto Falls, and Michelle’s fiancé, Austin Kopczynski; Michelle’s sons and beloved grandchildren of Kathy and Wayne: Jace and Axton; a brother, William (Tammy) Tonn of Wis. Dells; and a sister, Cynthia (Jeff Philipps) Tonn of Marinette. She is further survived by nine brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; a niece , Samantha Tonn; three nephews: Nicolas Tonn, Zachary (Crystal) Johnston and Tyler (La Koda Sailer) Johnston; two grand-nephews: Carson and Brantley; paternal aunt, Ann Tonn; maternal aunts and uncles: Darla Seefeldt, Karen (Ralph) Kreischer, Robert (Marge) Larsen, Alan Larsen, Kris (Debra) Larsen and Candace (Robert) Hilgers; numerous cousins; and special friends, Peggy Arnold and Theresa Bargas of Calif. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Nancy Tonn; and her little brother, Stephen.
Visitation will be held at Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home in Peshtigo, on Friday, April 21st, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Kathy’s life at 3:30 p.m.
Per her wishes, Kathy will be cremated and laid to rest, at Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo, in the arms of her brother, Stephen.
Kathy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the EMT’s of Marinette for their valiant efforts in their administration of CPR and to all of the doctors and ICU nurses involved in Kathy’s care at Aurora Bay Care in Green Bay. A special heartfelt thanks to Dr. Mark Riedy for his compassionate support of our family during this difficult time.
