Janet E. Dubey, 78, of Menominee, passed away on Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at Rennes East. She was born on May 28, 1939, to the late Thomas and Stella (Sieminski) Murray in Menominee. 
     Janet graduated from Menominee High School class of 1957. On May 2, 1959, Janet married Eugene Dubey in Menominee. She worked at Northern Hardware for a few years then stopped to raise her family. In 1978, she began at the Twin City Insurance Agency and worked for 25 years. She was a member of Resurrection Parish and the Altar Society. She loved watching the Packers and Menominee Maroons. She also enjoyed going up to camp, camping at Porterfield, knitting, crocheting, attending all of her grandchildren’s events, and wintering in Palmetto, Fla.
Janet is survived by her husband, Eugene; a son, Mikeal (LuAnn) Dubey of Menominee; daughters: Karen (Gary) Baidel of Perrysburg, Ohio; and Mary (Bill) Van Domelen of Menominee; a sister, Sandra (William) Kroll of Highland Park, Ill.; and six grandchildren: Michelle (Tony) Weber, Elizabeth (John) Michalak, Aaron (Stacey) Van Domelen, Katie Van Domelen, Josh (fiance’ Kate Starzynski) Dubey, and Kacy Dubey; and three great-grandchildren: Lincoln, Lilli and Lyle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle; and brother, James Murray.
Visitation will take place at Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home on Thursday, Feb. 8, from 4-7 p.m. The vigil prayer service will begin at 6:30 p.m., with Fr. Mark McQuesten presiding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for the repose of the soul of Janet at Resurrection Parish on Friday, Feb. 9, at 10 a.m., with Fr. Mark McQuesten presiding. 
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
