James R. Parrette, 55, of Marinette, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at home after a short battle with lung cancer. He was born on November 21, 1957, to Richard and Helen (Roehl) Parrette in Menominee.
Jim graduated from Menominee High School in 1976. He currently was working at Marinette Marine. On September 21, 1991, Jim married Beverly Boucher at St. Joseph's Church in Marinette. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, the Laborers Local 330, and the Contractors Union. James loved fishing, snowmobiling, and riding his Harley motorcycle.
Jim is survived by his wife, Beverly of Marinette; mother, Helen Parrette of Menominee; one brother, Jeff (fiancée Sue) Parrette of Menominee; his children: Nathan Parrette, Jessica Parrette and Nicholas Parrette; one sister, Cathy (Paul) Smiley of Marinette, her children: Brittany Pogrant, Matthew Smiley and Haley Smiley; father-in-law, Bernie Boucher and sister-in-law, Patty Parrette. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Richard; maternal and paternal grandparents; and one niece, Kelsey Pogrant.
Friends may call at Thielen Funeral Home on Saturday, April 27th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. with a luncheon to follow. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
