James John Anderle, 104, of Menominee, passed away Monday, April 17th, 2017, at the Harbors. He was born on October 26th, 1912, to the late George and Mary (Yanda) Anderle in Menominee. 
        James graduated from Menominee High School. On April 7th, 1939, Jim married Muriel Rounds; she preceded him in death on February 4th, 1981. He proudly served his country during World War II in the Navy and was a member of the VFW. Jim worked as an upholsterer at Lloyd Flanders for 43 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Menominee.
Jim is survived by two daughters: Mary Bennett of Ocala, Florida, and Carole Walters of Menominee; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other family and friends. In addition to his parents and his wife, Muriel, Jim was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lisa Elsner; four sisters: Helen, May, Lily, and Albena; five brothers: Irving, Joe, Jack, George, and Vernon; and special friend, Muriel Goldsmith.
Visitation will be held at the Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home on Sunday, April 23rd, 2017, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. with Rev. Ryan Edwardson officiating. 
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
A memorial fund has been established in Jim’s name. Any expressions of sympathy and kindness can be directed to a family member.
