James D. Kielcheski, 73, of White Lake, Wis., passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at the home of his son, in Marinette. He was born October 22, 1940 in Antigo, Wis. to Denny and Leona (Schiefelbein) Kielcheski.
He was a graduate of White Lake High School, Class of 1958. From 1959 until his discharge in 1963, Jim served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He spent his employment career in the aviation industry, working for Enstrom Helicopter Co. in Menominee, Mich. and later Erda, Inc. of Peshtigo. He took an early retirement and traveled frequently, making trips to Alaska with his brothers and out west with his friend, Diane. Jim loved his days in the woods and spending time with his grandchildren. Dylan was his first grandchild and they held a special bond. They hunted, read books, fed the deer, helped Uncle John with maple syrup and took motorcycle rides. Dylan spent every chance he could on breaks from school to be at the cabin with Grandpa Jim.
Jim is survived by two children: Amy (Michael) DelGenio and Dave (Charlotte) Kielcheski; grandchildren: Dylan, Katrina, Caitlin, Mia and Michael; his siblings: Joan (Bob) Sieblink, John (Criss) Kielcheski, Jean (Joe) Edelman and Dan (Dorothy) Kielcheski; nieces and nephews: Dan, Tom, Janet, Steve, Deana, Bonnie, Heather and Bobby; and special friends: Pat Rousche, Annette, Bob Herwig, Mike Piasecki, Joe Povik and Bob Pattee.
Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home, in Marinette, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2014. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Steven Vaudt officiating. Military honors will be conducted.
Entombment will be Tuesday morning at Forest Home Mausoleum in Marinette.
