Helen J. Lemery, 91, of Marinette, passed away at home on Sunday, May 5, 2013. She was born to Frank and Anne (Henkel) Bomber on May 9, 1921, in Marinette.
Helen graduated from Marinette High School in 1939. Helen married David A. Lemery on June 14, 1941, at St. Anthony's Church in Marinette. He preceded her in death on September 14, 2011. She had worked at Boreal Glove Company as well as Milwaukee Glove Company. Helen loved spending time with her family, camping, bowling, golfing and traveling. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Altar Society. Helen was also a
member of the Little River County Club and the Silver Swingers.
Helen is survived by two sons: Thomas Lemery and Ted (Tammy) Lemery, both of Marinette; four daughters: Monica (Chuck) Helmuth of Des Moines Iowa, Suzanne (David) Shandonay-England of Marinette, Mary (Scott) Eickmeyer of Wallace, Mich. and Lori (John) Wrobleski of Marinette; daughter-in-law, Jean (Bob) Lemery-Harbick of Marinette; 14 grandchildren: Angie (Matt) Heald, Ross (Stephanie) Lemery, Micheale (Phil) Oberbroeckling, Brad (Jennifer) Helmuth, Danielle (Brock) Tafelski, Megan (Daniel) Eickmeyer, Ashley Shandonay, Jared (Summer) Shandonay, David (Megan) Lemery, Zach Wrobleski, Missy (Dave) Pullen, John (Dawn) Wrobleski, Bob (Sarah) Wrobleski and Sheila (Alex) Schafer; and 16 great grandchildren: Claire, Elias, and Cecelia Lemery, Quentin and Delaney Heald, Kyra and Kacy Oberbroeckling, Morgan, Mia, Scott, and Francesca Helmuth, Tate, Evangeline, and Scarlett Tafelski, Isabella and Madilyn Shandonay. In addition to her husband, David, Helen was preceded in death by her parents; two sons: Robert and Bruce; and one great-granddaughter, Makenna; two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Thielen Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 8th from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Wake Service at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish-Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 9th.
Entombment will be in Forest Home Mausoleum.
