Helen Irene Biehl, 81, of Marinette, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013, at Rennes Health Center-West in Peshtigo. She was born February 8, 1932, at Marinette, Wisconsin, to James and Helen (Lesak) Kunesh.
  Attended Marinette schools graduating from Marinette High School. She married William James Biehl, March 25, 1950, at the former St. Anne's Rectory, Menominee Mich. Bill, Helen and their family lived in Porterfield on Highway 180 for many years, then moved to a residence on Taylor Street in Marinette. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Walsh. She taught "Little Church", first and eighth grade CCD for many years. In later life, she became a member of Holy Family Parish. Helen was employed at the former Signal Electric and at M&M Box Company. She was a "special aunt" to her niece, Ashley, and nephew, Gerard, who she took care of for many years.
  Surviving are five sons and three daughter: James (Mary Ellen) of Cedarburg, Wis., Michael (special friend Patty) of Marinette, Wis., David (Laurie) of Porterfield, Wis., Douglas (special friend Kimber) of Marinette, Wis., Daniel (Carla) of Marinette, Wis., Virginia (Bruce) Chaltry of Marinette, Wis., Mary (Fred) Prevost of Wausaukee, Wis. and Michelle (Shawn) Slocum of Green Bay, Wis.; 21 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two brothers and one sister: John (Joyce) Kunesh, Daniel Kunesh and Lois Doffeck; and by Jerome Lang, Julie Biehl, and Helen's special friend, Jim Strem. Preceding her in death on March 7, 1988 was her husband Bill. Also preceding her in death were her son, Steve Biehl; grandson, Coty Kotecki; her parents; three brothers: George, James and Ervin Kunesh and her mother and father-in-law.
  Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home, Marinette, from 4 until 8 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2013. A parish Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday led by Deacon Jerome Thetreau. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 8:30 until 10:30 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, in Holy Family Parish-Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Taylor St., by the Reverend Joseph Dorner.
Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
