Glenn L. Terrell, 58, of Marinette, passed away Wednesday evening, December 22, 2010, at Bay Area Medical Center. He was born April 12, 1952, in Marinette to June (Dirkes) Terrell and the late Albert L. Terrell.
Glenn resided in Marinette all of his life, attending Marinette High School. He joined the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam War from 1971 until he was honorably discharged in 1973. Glenn began employment with the City of Marinette in 1975. During his career with the Department of Public Works, he worked as a heavy equipment operator until he was promoted to Interim Superintendent of Public Works in 2002, a position he held until his retirement in 2007. Glenn married Bette Oehler Harbick on Sept. 14, 2007. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter and loved to be in the woods. He was also a member of Marinette Elks Lodge and the Menominee American Legion Post 146.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Bette Harbick; his mother, June M. Terrell of Marinette; a step-son and his family, Dr. Scott (Dr. Kara) Harbick of Appleton, Wis. and their son, Glenn's special love, Maxwell; one nephew, Scott (Jennifer) Terrell of Appleton and their children: Jordan and Cody; and two nieces: Jennifer Paris of Sussex, Wis. and Kristine Terrell of Boise, Idaho. Glenn was preceded in death by his father and a brother, John.
Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home, Marinette, after 4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home with Deacon Bruce Corey officiating.
