Esther M. Chevalier, 90, of Marinette, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2013, at Rennes East. She was born on July 27, 1923, to the late Edward and Ada (Santamour) Farrell in Porterfield.
Esther had worked for Scott Paper for two years but her true calling was being a homemaker. On July 14, 1946, Esther married Don Chevalier at St. Joseph's Church in Walsh. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, the Altar Society, and the church card club.
Esther is survived by her husband of 67 years, Don of Marinette; three sons: Gene (Liz) of Omaha, Neb., Kenneth (Patty) of Marinette and Douglas (Dianna) of Fresno, Calif.; three daughters: Sandra (Raymond) Kamin of Marinette, Cheryl (Dan) Sharon of Antigo and Anne (Don) Pearson of Foley, Minn.; 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Alfred and Ervin, and six sisters: Lillian, Gladys, Marion, Dorothy, Gloria and Lenore.
Friends may call at the Thielen Funeral Home on Monday, December 9th from 9:30 to 10:30. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Parish - St. Joseph's Church with Rev. Joseph Dorner officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
