Elaine "Izzy" Violet Lendl, 87, of Menominee, Mich., passed away on Monday, August 12, 2013. She was born on October 8, 1925, in Menominee, Mich. to the late Albert and Anna (Guth) Blomquist.
Elaine graduated from Menominee High School class of 1943. On July 26, 1948, she married Richard F. Lendl at the Epiphany Church in Menominee, Mich. Elaine was a member of Holy Spirit Church, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 146 and the Saint Anne Sodality.
Elaine is survived by one daughter, Barbara Kloida; one son, David Lendl; her grandson, Ryan Kloida; two great-granddaughters: Zoe and Felicity; one sister, Anna Mae Amerman; two sisters-in-law: Carol Blomquist and Charlotte Laduron; five nieces: Julie Erickson, Mary Beth (Howard) Edwards, Patti Amerman, Laurie (Denis) Gromala, Cathy (John) Banken and many other family members and friends. Along with her parents and her husband, Elaine was preceded in death by her grandson, Jason Kloida and three brothers: Eugene, Richard and Donald Blomquist.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, for the repose of the soul of Elaine Lendl on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Fr. Ryan Ford presiding.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee, Mich.
