Dorothy Louise Ferguson, 82, Coleman, Wis., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at a local nursing home following a short battle with cancer. She was born Sept. 7, 1935, in Bonesteel, S. D., on the family farm. 
   Dorothy was the fourth of 15 children of Elvin and Tracy (Janousek) Bailey. On Dec. 23, 1952, Dorothy was united in marriage to Lyle Ferguson. Together they had three children; Elvin, Diane and Julie. Lyle preceded her in death.  Dorothy was employed by Patz Corp. in Coleman for more than 25 years. Dorothy lived life to the fullest before being diagnosed with dementia in 2006. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. 
Dorothy is survived by a son, Elvin; two daughters: Diane (Glen) Bisick and Julie (Bill) Galik; brothers and sisters: Judy (Dale) Nolan, Nola (Elden) Nolan, Eben (Patty) Bailey, Richard (Margaret Ann) Bailey, Ruth (Gary) Lundberg, Gayle (Harriet) Bailey, Earl (Tootie) Bailey, Leah (Roy) Englend, Sherrill Kinzie, Fred (Marilyn) Bailey, Donny (Gay) Bailey; six grandchildren: Troy (Dana) and Amanda Ferguson, Tracy and Lance Bisick, Kyle (Boston) and Kurt Galik; two great-grandchildren, Amariyah Ferguson and Avery Galik;  and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; her parents; two sisters; one brother; and a daughter-in-law.   
Friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 121 Chicago St., Oconto, on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, from 2 until 4 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home, with Deacon Walt Kaszynski officiating. 
Burial will be in the spring at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Coleman.
