Doris V. Rennes, 94, passed away July 9, 2018, at The Renaissance in Marinette, Wis. She was born in Romulus, New York, on Oct. 25, 1923, daughter of the late George and Bertha (Burns) Falke.  
    On May 2, 1945, she married James M. Rennes in Geneva, New York, and he preceded her in death Oct. 20, 1975. Doris graduated from Rochester General Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She worked as a private duty nurse and also was the night supervisor at BAMC. She and her husband  started in the nursing home business when they purchased the Peshtigo Nursing Home in 1973. They then laid plans to build a new nursing home in Peshtigo but James died before he could see this to fruition. In October of 1977, Doris and her son, Tim and his wife Debbie, opened The Rennes Health Center, now known as Rennes West. Doris worked as Director of Nursing until retirement, but remained very active at Rennes West until November 2016. She was a licensed Nursing Home Administrator, a member of the Peshtigo United Methodist Church, active in Peshtigo Women’s Club, and volunteered at BAMC until 2016. Doris enjoyed swimming, reading, traveling the world, playing cards, playing  golf and spending time with her many friends at social gatherings. You wouldn’t find Doris at home on a Friday night.
  Doris is survived by two sons: Jim (Ellen) Rennes of Green Bay, and Tim (Debbie) Rennes of Peshtigo; two daughters, Judy (special friend Tim Frank) Witak  of Green Bay, and Jill (Steve) Nor of Peshtigo; her grandchildren, Emily (Dirk) Boettger, James (Jessie) Rennes, Gregg Rennes, Kevin (Abbie) Rennes, Branden (Melissa) Seymour, Chad (fiancé Quinn Sanders) Witak, Kalyn (special friend Eric DeMars) Witak, Lindsey (Matt) Speier, John (fiancé Brittany Barrette) Nor, and Brad 
(special friend Cecilia Stewart) Nor; also survived by great-grandchildren: Addie and Aubry Rennes, Kai and Mark Boettger, Leigha Cox,  Gavin Forsberg and Reese Yunke; and a brother, Howard Falke. Along with her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Falke; a son-in-law, Mike Witak and a sister-in-law, Doris Falke.
  Visitation will be held Saturday, July 14, at the Peshtigo Methodist Church from 9 a.m. until time of services at noon, with Pastor Kevin Dembinski officiating.  
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo.
