Doris (Bach) Salzman, 89, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013, at her home in rural Peshtigo, Wis. She was born on November 25, 1923, to the late Victor and Hedwig (Wickman) Bach in the Town of Wagner, Wis.
Doris graduated from Marinette High School and Marinette County Normal Teacher's College. She taught in rural schools for several years. She married Robert Salzman at Porterfield Lutheran Church on August 17, 1946. Doris retired from teaching in 1958 to raise her family: Linda (Don) Hays, Kenneth (Mary) and Ronald (Keyan). Over the years she enjoyed family, homemaking, camping, card-playing with friends, reading and doing puzzles. She also did custom sewing and alterations from her home.
Doris is survived by her husband and children; grandchildren: Erika and Riva Salzman; four step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving her are a brother, Clarence Bach of Marinette; sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Frank Zuern of Oshkosh; brother-in-law, Harold Salzman of Marinette; sister-in-law, Jean Salzman of Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers: Charles (and wife Dorothy) Bach, Robert Bach and John Bach; brother-in-law Clarence Salzman; and sisters-in-law: Betty Bach and Amie Salzman.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2013, at Porterfield Lutheran Church with Pastor Chad Anderson officiating. A visitation will precede the service, beginning at 10 a.m. 
Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
