Dolores E. Caylor, 87, of Menominee, Mich., passed away January 7, 2014 at Bay Area Medical Center, Marinette, Wis. surrounded by her family. The former Dolores Esther Skorzewski was born in Milwaukee, Wis. on May 2, 1926 to the late John and Antoinette (Lawrence) Skorzewski.
On July 5, 1948 Dolores married George K. Caylor in Walsch, Wis. George preceded her in death November 20, 1997. Dolores was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved playing cards and had a real liking for butterflies. She enjoyed her extensive angel collection she received as gifts from her family and friends. Dolores had a real passion for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, taking pride of their many accomplishments. She loved staying in touch with her friends. Even though she never drove a car, she was known to be an outstanding "back seat driver".
Dolores is survived by two daughters: Connie Gustafson of Menominee, Mich., and Laurel (Alan) Majkrzak of Stephenson, Mich.; one son, George (Lori) of Green Bay, Wis.; one daughter-in-law, Karen Caylor of Menominee, Mich.; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Gloria Hogan of Greendale, Wis.; and one brother-in-law, Emil Mittag of Oconto Falls, Wis. Dolores was preceded in death by son, Gary; son-in-law, Bob Gustafson; grandson, Tyler; two sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 12, 2014, after 3 p.m. at the Anderson Kell Funeral Home, Menominee, Mich. American Legion Auxiliary will be at 6 p.m. followed by Parish Prayers. Visitation will continue Monday, January 13, 2014, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Menominee, Mich., from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Father Michael Ocran officiating.
Burial will be in Birch Creek Cemetery.
