Darlene Ann Clausen, 73, of Menominee, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Bay Area Medical Center. She was born on February 2, 1941, to the late Asa and Anna (Lindholm) Weller in Mountain, Wis.
She graduated from Suring High School and went on to get her teaching degree. She was especially proud to have worked for the Menominee Catholic Central and Menominee Public School systems. In April of 1960, Darlene married Donald R. Clausen in Menominee. He preceded her in death in March of 1999. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church. Darlene enjoyed playing the piano, watching Glen Beck and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Darlene is survived by children: Duane (Karen Sellers) Clausen, Darryl (Shelly) Clausen, Deanna (Michael) Orchekowski, Dwight (Maylen) Clausen, Doreen (Mark Soik) VanDerLinden; daughter-in-law, Janeta Clausen; grandchildren: Nicholas and Kayla, Paige and Ty, Jenelle, Erin and Benjamin, Haley, Blake and Isabelle, Mason and Serena; sister, Elsie (Glen Kruse); brother, Gerald Weller; many great-grandchildren; and special family friends: Ted Galarowic and Mary Ellen Maas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Robert Clausen; son, Daniel Robert Clausen, brothers: Oscar, Cecil, Lee, Herbert and Martin Weller and Dean and Albert Heinrick; and sisters: Christine Dekeyser and Bernice Dellisse.
Friends may call at Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home, in Menominee, on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
