Daniel W. Cloutier, died October, 27, 2017. He was born on March 3, 1949, to Wilfred and Marian (Zander) Cloutier in Menominee, Mich. 
   Daniel grew up on the family  farm with four sisters: Sandra (Lynn) Barber, Patricia Cloutier, Linda (Bill) Merchant and Laurie (Wayne) Marotz. He graduated from Marinette High School in 1968 and went on to work at Scott Paper Mill in Marinette. Daniel met the love of his life, Marlea (Melka) Cloutier and they were blessed with four sons: Brett Cloutier, Eric (Heather) Cloutier, Matthew (Christian) Cloutier and Phillip (Jennifer Branske) Cloutier. Through the years Daniel and Marlea had many adventures and lived in Marinette, Green Bay and finally in Sturgeon Bay. He worked as a skilled tradesman in carpentry, plumbing, masonry and painting. On the job they knew Daniel as D.W. Daniel’s children grew to learn the skills he taught them. Later on in life, Daniel and Marlea were blessed with five grandchildren: Madison, Brooklen, Jullian, Brady and Alius. The family raised rat terriers and he always had one by his side and enjoyed their entertainment. Daniel’s hobbies were gardening and enjoying Mother Nature. Daniel loved his family, sisters, many nieces and nephews and friends very much.
Daniel was preced in death by his parents, Wilfred and Marian Cloutier; and his sister, Patricia Cloutier
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017, 5 p.m., at Porterfield Lutheran Church with a gathering to follow at Evergreen Ballroom to share moments of Daniel’s story. A meal prepared by family will be served at the gathering.
