Daniel L. Saunier Sr., 67, of Marinette passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at home. He was born on December 15, 1945, to the late Ferdinel W. and Queenetta (LeSage) Saunier in Marinette.
Daniel attended Catholic Central High School and went on to work at Lloyd Manufacturing for many years and at Richardson Mill Works for several years. On February 6, 1965, Daniel married Rose Schmidt at St. Joseph Church in Marinette. He was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed camping, dart ball, hunting, fishing, sports, and was an avid Packer fan.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Rose; three sons: Joseph of Menominee, Timothy of Manitowoc and Daniel Jr. of Marinette; a brother, Ken (Suellen) of Porterfield; sister, Donna (James) Shampo of Marinette; brother-in-law, Dave Kintgen of Carbondale; sisters-in-law: Cora Erickson of Menominee and Sandy Saunier of Marinette; six grandchildren: Katie, Michael, Chad, Timothy, Myranda, and Deanna; three great-grandchildren: Kegan, Landon, and Mathew; his dog, Sassy; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Donald and Robert.
Friends may call on Monday, March 25th at Thielen Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 6 p.m. with Deacon Jerome Thetreau officiating.
