Carlton Wm. Zieloski, 90, passed away August 5, 2011 after living with cancer for nine years.
Carlton spent his youth in Menominee, Mich., graduating there in 1939. He served as a Marine Engineer in World War II transporting troops and supplies. He continued to work as a ships engineer until 1950, when he and his wife left San Francisco and returned home to live in Milwaukee. There he spent 32 years at Grede Foundries as a supervisor. Carl and Carlene owned and operated Beaute Land Salon in the Bay View area of Milwaukee for several years. Carlton's great passion in life was golfing. He said he'd golf until age 90 and he struggled to continue with his long time Foursome. During his last summer, he TWICE got a 'Hole in One'.
Carlton leaves behind his wife of 63 years, the former Carlene Johnson from Marinette; daughter, Lynne (Donald) Cheatham; son, Dennis (Janie); grandchildren: Erika (Joe) Arndt, John and Carley, and great-grandchildren: Katie and Allie.
Carlton was buried in Riverside Cemetery in the family plot.
