Arnold L. Smith, 82, of the Town of Beaver, died April 5, 2013, after a long illness. Arnold was born on March 4, 1931, in the Town of Beaver, to the late Gilbert and Lillian (Beaber) Smith. 
Logging was not only his life's work, but something he enjoyed. He coveted the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and antique cars. Helping his friends was always a priority. He was a veteran serving with the Marines and was a member of the Coleman American Legion.
Arnold will be sadly missed by his brother and sister-in-law; and six sisters. Arnold was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters. 
Friends may call at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 235 E. Main St., Coleman, from Noon on Friday, April 12th until the time of funeral services at 2 p.m. Duane Wardecke will officiate.
Burial with military rites will be in the First Baptist Cemetery, Pound.  
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for the American Lung Association has been established.
