Anna A. Malawka, 75, of Wallace, Mich., passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at home. Anna was born on January 24, 1938 in Chicago, Ill. to the late Peter and Anna (Hoduski) Malawka.
Anna worked as an LPN at St. Joseph Lloyd Hospital, for Dr. Chaltry, Luther Home and Whispering Oaks. She was an avid dog lover and loved her dogs dearly. Anna further enjoyed growing mushrooms, and the Green Bay Packers. Above all else, it was being with her family that brought Anna the most joy.
Anna is survived by her brother, Alex Malawka of Wallace, Mich.; nieces: Michelle (Steve) Bland of Menominee, Mich. and Joan (Don) Murray of Carney, Mich.; nephews: Scott (Heidi) Malawka of Menominee, Mich., Jerry Hoduski of Carney, Mich. and Ronald (Micki) Hoduski of Austin, Texas; good friends: Carol Thomsen of Wallace, Mich. and Kris (Holly) Thomsen of Marinette, Wis.; along with many great nieces and nephews. Anna was preceded in death by her sister in law, Aldea Malawka.
Family and friends may call at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 11 a.m. until time of Prayer Service at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Mellen Township Cemetery in the spring.
