Alice A. Boyce, 69, of Marinette passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at Bay Area Medical Center. She was born on April 16, 1944, to the late John "Jack" and Freda (Campbell) Eastman in Portland, Maine and moved to Marinette as an infant. She graduated from Marinette Catholic Central High School and received her Advanced Certification in Religious Education. She had worked at Stephenson National Bank & Trust as a teller and as an Assistant Marketing Director. In 1972, she moved to Englishtown, N.J. Alice married John Boyce on March 15, 1975, in Englishtown, N.J.; he preceded her in death on April 21, 1984. She returned to the area in 1979 and has resided here since. She taught religious education at Catholic Central High School for six years. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, the Marinette Moose Lodge, and former member of Sacred Heart and Resurrection Women's Club. Over the years, Alice served as Religious Education Coordinator for Holy Family, Resurrection, St. Mary, and SS. Joseph & Edward Parishes. She also was a Eucharistic Minister. Alice loved to spend time with her grandchildren; she also enjoyed her cats, baking, and being around people, her door was always open.
Alice is survived by three sons: Bob (Mary Beth) Benedict, Paul (Mary Kay) Boyce, and Sean (Melissa) Boyce, all of Marinette; a daughter-in-law, Tammy (Ted) Conte of Panama City, Fla.; three brothers: John "Jack" Eastman Jr. of Belleview, Fla., Joseph (Kathy) Eastman, and George (Mary) Eastman, both of Marinette; a sister, Charlene (Mike) Staudenmaier of Marinette; 12 grandchildren: Jake, Amanda, Jordan, Derek, Tyler, Peyton, Brooke, Chas, Hailey Rose, John, Camryn, and Ryan; a great-grandson, Jackson; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, John; she was preceded in death by her son, Troy; and a brother, Jim.
Friends may call on Monday, February 10, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Thielen Funeral Home and again on Tuesday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A Wake service will be held Monday at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish - Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 12 noon with Rev. Don Zuleger officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
