Albert J. Demers, 88, of Menominee, Mich., passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at the Luther Home in Marinette, Wis. He was born on February 12, 1925, to the late Arthur and Mabel (Ebsch) Demers in Menominee, Mich.
Albert graduated from St. Anne's School and Our Lady of Lourdes. After graduation he worked in maintenance at St. Anne's School and Church, Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the Menominee Tourist Lodge. Albert enjoyed being in the Catholic Foresters, LifeCore, the Historical Society, and an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary.
  Albert is survived by three sisters: Louise Demers of Menominee, Mich., Sister Muriel and Sister Humbeline, both of Manitowoc, Wis.; two brothers: Harlan Demers and Claude (Vivian) Demers, both of Menominee, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Earl, Richard and twin brother, Arthur and one sister, Pearl Demers.
 Visitation will take place at the Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home on Sunday, April 28, 2013, from 4 p.m. till 7 p.m. A Rosary service will be conducted by the Legion of Mary at 6 p.m. followed by the Vigil prayer service at 6:30 p.m. with Deacon Vincent Beckley presiding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, for the repose of the soul of Albert on Monday, April 29th at 11 a.m. at Resurrection Church with Fr. Michael Chenier presiding.
Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery Menominee.
