Planting with pride
EagleHerald/Rick Gebhard
Beth Peanosky, Amarissa Crabb, Connie Hass, Todd Lapacz and Mariah Maas plant perennials and annuals in giant flower pots June 13 at Marinette Farm & Garden. The pots were sponsored by The EagleHerald and Hanson-Onion-Martell Funeral Home. “Plant Our Pride,” is a collaboration between the City of Marinette, Chenier’s Garden Center, Marinette Farm & Garden and sponsoring businesses or individuals. There are two different sizes available for a one-time sponsorship fee to cover the cost of the pot. The soil, flowers and planting are all donated. The 36-inch pots cost $225; 42-inch pots are $290. Interested individuals, groups or businesses should contact Marinette Farm & Garden at 715-735-7439.
