County commissioners are expected tonight to take up approval of an exception to the hiring freeze to allow the Menominee County Sheriff's Department to hire temporary part-time corrections officers.
The board will also vote on limiting current and future part-time employees to a 25-hour work week during a "look back" period the county has to establish to comply with the Affordable Care Act.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 in Courtroom B at the Menominee County Courthouse.
