MENOMINEE - Word must be getting around in comedy circles that people in Menominee enjoy a good laugh.
Comedians Morgan Preston, Andrew Ouellette, Billy Anderson and Keith Walker will perform Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Ogden Club in Menominee. The four are staging a world-record attempt at 50 shows in 50 states in 49 days.

Over the past few years, several big name comedians have come to town to liven things up but Wednesday night marks a first in local funny business.
The Ogden Club on 10th Avenue is hosting a night of comedy featuring four top-of-the-line entertainers. It's an attempt to set a Guiness World Record. The comedians will be performing 50 shows in 50 states in 49 days.
"We actually got contacted through Facebook," said Ogden Club owner Robin Quigley. "The comedians are doing what they call the greatest tour ever, ever."
The Ogden Club is day 32 of the tour. Before Menominee they'll perform in Waukesha, Wis., and after Wednesday night's show they head to do a gig in Kahoka, Mo.
Comedians Morgan Preston, Andrew Ouellette, Billy Anderson and Keith Walker started the journey Oct. 13 in Billings, Mont., and will close their final show Dec. 2 in Kona, Hawaii.
With only one show in each state, it's quite a feather in the cap of the OC to be chosen.
"They chose the Ogden Club for Michigan, which I think is pretty awesome," said Quigley.
The night will be filled with laughter, great food and drink and music. A disc jockey will perform before and after the 8 p.m. show, which will last about 90 minutes. Tickets are $12 and are available at the Ogden Club. Seating is limited.
