DUNBAR - A 37-year-old Clintonville, Wis., man accidentally drowned while camping alone in Marinette County, according to Sheriff Jerry Sauve.

Deputies received a 911 call at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday that someone had fallen from some rocks into the water while taking photographs at Twelve Foot Falls Park in the Town of Dunbar, according to a sheriff's department press release.

Witnesses pulled the man to shore and tried to resuscitate him but were unsuccessful.

Sauve said the man was camping alone. Deputies don't suspect foul play. The man's name wasn't immediately released because his family hadn't been notified.

Coroner George Smith responded to the scene and ruled this an accidental drowning, the sheriff said.

Sheriff's deputies, the Pembine Rescue and Fire, and Beacon Ambulance were dispatched to the scene.
