Torsten Weiß, Germany, sent this to Faith Lutheran Church in hopes of finding someone who knows his family.
Torsten Weiß of Germany and his family are trying to relocate descendants of his family so they can have a family reunion. The families lost contact more than 60 years ago.
Weiß recently found some hints on an old photograph he found. The photograph was taken at C.A. Lind, 1611 Main St., Marinette, WI.
Weiß says, “There was regular contact between the family members in the USA and Germany after their immigration. By word of mouth, grateful memories have remained of letters and care parcels — especially about the time of the great need in and after the war. Unfortunately, contact between the family members had to be interrupted around 1947. As no letter is left, this is the only information I have.”
He assumes his family lives or have lived in the area sometime between 1920 and 1950.
Anyone with any information on how the Weiß family can find their descendants may contact Faith Lutheran Church at 715-735-6506.
