Laura Finger’s fourth-grade class from the Peshtigo Elementary Learning Center listens Thursday to Chuck Druckery, Marinette County Land & Water Conservation, as he demonstrates runoff pollution at Badger Park, where the watering can is the rain. The bed of soil can’t hold all that water, which picks up toxins and runs straight into into sewers and bodies of water. Wetlands and urban planning can stop this, he said. Druckery says it is our worst source of pollution in the United States.
