Stina Ella Dannberg and Brandon Gregory Lemery, both of Menominee, MI. were united in marriage. The couple returned to the bride's birth town of Örnsköldsvik, Sweden to get married on July 27, 2013. The ceremony was held at the octagonal church, Själevads Kyrka, built in 1880 and voted as the most beautiful church in Sweden in 1998. Pastor Ulf Söderlind performed the ceremony which was held both in English and in Swedish. A prayer in English was read by the groom's sister, Nicole and a prayer in Swedish was read by the bride's sister, Frida. The Perfect Pair, a local group of two sisters, Stina and Sara Johansson, filled the church with wonderful music; "Utan dina andetag" ("Without Your Breath") and "When You Tell the World Your Mine". The three day celebration started on Friday with a luncheon on M/S Poseidon to the Trysunda island and ended with a BBQ on Sunday, the day after the wedding, at the bride's grandparents' summerhouse at Storstensudden. The reception was held at Varvsberget's Restaurant, Örnsköldsvik, Sweden to where the couple came by horse and carriage.
Maid of Honor was Frida Dannberg, sister of the bride, of Des Moines, IA. Bridesmaids were Ann Swenson, friend of the bride, of Hinsdale, IL, Nicole Gregoire, sister of the groom, of Green Bay, WI, Elin Nyberg, cousin of the bride, of Örnsköldsvik, Sweden, Emma Nyberg, cousin of the bride, of Västerås, Sweden, and Cassandra Eriksson, cousin of the bride, of Stockholm, Sweden. Flowergirl was Ida Nyberg, cousin of the bride.
Best Man was Matt Dionne, friend of the groom, of Two Rivers, WI. Groomsmen were Nick Nerat, friend of the groom, of Green Bay, WI, Paul Gregoire, brother-in-law of the groom, of Green Bay, WI, and Olle Nyberg, cousin of the bride, of Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. RingBearer, Ida Nyberg (10), cousin of the bride, carried their rings with full concentration. Pryce (6) and Kasen (4) Gregoire, nephews of the groom, of Green Bay, WI, were unfortunately unable to attend but presented adorable paintings for the couple. Ushers were Ida Nyberg and Olle Nyberg, cousins of the bride.
The bride and groom would like to take this opportunity to thank the 34 guests from North America; family and friends that traveled with them so far to take part in their special day. It would not have been the same without all of them. Thank you for traveling with us and thank you for all you love and support!
The couple honeymooned in Positano and Rome, Italy, Paris, France, St. Andrews, Scotland, and London, England. The couple returned to Grafton, WI where they have lived for the last four years.
