BAMC volunteers to hold bake sale March 16
MARINETTE — Bay Area Medical Center (BAMC) Volunteer Services will be holding a St. Patrick’s Day bake sale in the lobby of the Center for Outpatient Services, 3100 Shore Drive, March 16 from 8 a.m. to noon. There will be a wide assortment of homemade goodies and all proceeds of the event will be donated to the Auxiliary Wish List Fund.

Quarterly food distribution schedule announced
MENOMINEE — The Menominee-Delta-Schoolcraft Community Action Agency Emergency Food Assistance Program quarterly distribution will be held at the Mid County Senior Center, 292 S. U.S. 41 Daggett, Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; at the Menominee Senior Center, 905 10th St., Friday from 8 to 11 a.m. and Hermansville Senior/Community Center, W5480 1st St., Hermansville, from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 2 p.m.
The program is for residents with a household income below 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines which will be one person, $2,010 per month and two persons, $2,707 per month. Registration is not required but recipients must self-declare their income at the time of receiving commodities and be 18 years and older. Food items are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Zion Lutheran seeks Mission Endowment fund applications
MARINETTE — Zion Lutheran Church, 2714 James St., is inviting area organizations to apply for their Mission Endowment Fund by June 1. The Fund, whose fund principal is permanently preserved, uses the earnings to support specific purposes and community programs as stated in the guidelines of the program. The investment returns can be used for outreach into the community including social service agencies, institutions, other agencies to which the congregation relates and to special programs designed for people in the parish area who are in spiritual and/or economic need.
The Fund recently distributed $1,000 to the Community Sports and Event Center; $1,500 to Marinette’s Salvation Army Youth program; $1,000 to the Abundant Life Mission Homeless Shelter; $1,000 to ELCA’s Always Being Made New Campaign and $1,000 to Zion’s participation in the 2018 ELCA Youth Gathering in Houston, Texas.
