Parkinsons Group to meet Thursday
MENOMINEE — The Parkinsons Group will meet at the Harbors Retirement building, 1110 10th Ave., Thursday at 10 a.m. The theme for this month’s meeting will be “Household safety.” There are a variety of items available locally and with simple adjustments it can be made easier and safer for persons with Parkinson’s and their caregivers to still enjoy their home. Steve Wilke from ValueCare Pharmacy, Marinette, will share some of the services and products available.
Living with Parkinson disease means many changes and requires a team effort, which should be assembled upon diagnosis. The support group, where challenges are shared, resources are suggested and moral support given, will also use their combined experience and knowledge to assist with assembling an effective team. And of course, printed material and coffee are always available.
For more information, persons may call Pat Ihler, 906-863-9445.
