Fundraiser was a success
MENOMINEE — The Menominee County Department of Health and Human Services raised a total $3,707 as part of their Community Giving Program and the annual “Help Make Spirits Bright” fundraiser. A total of 323 children and 18 elderly shut-ins received Christmas presents due to the support of individuals and businesses in the community that purchased gifts and the Spies Public Library, and Menominee County Library that gave the gift of reading by donating 453 books to the Give-A-Kid-A-Book program.
BAPS receives K. of C. donation
MARINETTE — The Knights of Columbus from Precious Blood, Saint Bruno and Saint John Neumann parishes donated $2,290.03 to the local pro-life Bay Area Pregnancy Services (BAPS) during its annual Baby Bottle Fundraiser. BAPS, which serves Menominee and Marinette counties, is a community based, not-for-profit organization, that offers free and confidential assistance to women facing unplanned pregnancies.
