Peshtigo library to hold open house
PESHTIGO — The Peshtigo Public Library will hold its Holiday open house Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. There will be crafts, a coloring contest for the children, treats, hot chocolate and games. Santa will visit from 4 to 5 p.m. The library will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
Story time is over for the holiday season and will resume in February. For more information, persons may call Jessica at the library at 715-582-4905 during the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Farmers Market to hold Reiki session
MENOMINEE — The Menominee Historic Downtown Farmers Market will be hold the Reiki session inside the Menominee Senior Center, 905 10th Ave., Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon, when host Ron Kruse will explain the health benefits of Reiki. The market, which will run from 9 a.m. to noon and will host a “Blow Out” produce sale, along with a last minute Christmas cookie sale and the delivery of salmon that was ordered.

Bethel church to hold Julotta service
WALLACE — A traditional Julotta Service, led by the Rev. Mark Johnson, will be held at at Bethel Mission Covenant Church, W5213 Bethel Mission Number 14 Road, Dec. 25 at 7 a.m. There will be coffee and cake following the sevice and an opportunity for attendees to fellowship. Red Cross urges people to donate
MARINETTE — The American Red Cross is urging all eligible donors to give more life this winter by donating blood or platelets and receive a long-sleeved Red Cross T-shirt, while supplies last, if donation is made between Thursday and Jan. 7.  Persons may donate at the following dates and places: Dec. 27 at Silver Cliff Rescue Squad, W13600 City Highway C, Silver Cliff, from noon to 5 p.m.; Dec. 28 at Faith Baptist Church, 350 N Stephenson Ave., Pestigo, noon to 5 p.m. and Jan. 4 at Pine Tree Mall, 2800 Roosevelt Road, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Church cookbook for sale
STEPHENSON — The Women Ministries of Bethlehem Covenant Church released the 2017 edition of their church cookbook which includes all the recipes from the first book plus more than 100 new recipes and a complete index to simplify finding favorite recipes. The 292-page cookbook features a Heritage section which includes many old ethnic recipes, mostly in the Swedish tradition, passed on from earlier generations of the Bethlehem congregation, as well as stories of earlier days that are centered around activities in the old-time “church basement kitchen” with memories of some who grew up in the Palestine area east of Stephenson.
The cost of the book is $15.
