Calvary Church to hold event Friday
MARINETTE —  Calvary Church W1498 Highway 64, invites the public to an evening of fellowship, coffee, and a concert, Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. There will be locally roasted coffee from the Preacher and his Wife Roastery, cider, hot chocolate, homemade goods and snacks for sale, and foosball, carpet-ball, pool, card and board games. Local singers and bands including Armor (Abigail Linstad-Nygren and Marcus Nygren), Porterfield Lutheran Gospel Band, Sarah Katzbeck, Relentless and Esther Shier will perform. Hermansville to hold Veterans Day Dinner
HERMANSVILLE — The Floriano-Stecker American Legion Post No. 340 will hold a Veterans Day Dinner at the Legion Club, Saturday beginning with a social hour at 4 p.m. and dinner at 6. Surviving the Holidays program offered
PESHTIGO — Faith Baptist Church is offering a Surviving the Holidays program at the church, 350 N. Stephenson, Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. The program is designed to help those who have lost loved ones journey from mourning to a remembrance of joy. The workbook cost $10. UW-Marinette to host fall Preview Day
MARINETTE — UW-Marinette will host a fall Preview Day for prospective students and their families in the theatre Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon. The event is free and open to the public.
This campus preview will feature information on admissions, degrees and the financial aid process. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the campus and hear from current students, faculty and staff. Advisers will be available to discuss campus life, housing options and academic planning, including UW-Marinette’s associate degree options and the Guaranteed Transfer Program with every four-year UW campus.

College Goal Wisconsin to be held
MARINETTE — UW–Marinette will host College Goal Wisconsin Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. The purpose of this event is to provide free assistance and to address the needs of low-income and first-generation college-bound students who are completing and submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The Federal Government requires a FAFSA from all students seeking financial aid, including grants and loans, to attend and pay for college. Dependent students, those born after Jan. 1, 1995, should bring a parent and completed federal income tax returns for 2016 and W2 statements.
