Presentation about drug-use problem
WAUSAUKEE — Ellen J. Geisler, Community, Natural Resource and Economic Development Educator from the Marinette County, University of Wisconsin-Extension, will present the topic, “Over the Edge: What should we do when alcohol and drug use become a problem to society?” at the Wausaukee Library Wednesday at 4 p.m. National Issues Forum (NIF) has published discussion guides that present a well-rounded report about the many angles of an issue, with pros and cons, so participants all have the same base knowledge of the facts of an issue.

Walleye dinner to be held Saturday
MARINETTE — Moose Lodge No. 2327 will hold a fish fry walleye dinner, featuring walleye from the Cabela’s National Walleye Tournament Championship, at N5233 E. Nettleton Road, Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. The menu will be walleye, french fries, baked potato or hashbrowns, baked beans, coleslaw and rye bread.

Parish to hold annual chili supper
PORTERFIELD — SS. Joseph and Edward Parish, W3308 County Road G, Porterfield, will have their annual chili supper, Sunday from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. There will be homemade chili, relishes, pies, a grand raffle, 50/50 and bucket raffles. The cost is $7 for persons 11 years and older, $3 for children 3 to 10 years and free for those 5 years and younger. The event is open to the public.
Northwood’s Apostolic to hold luncheon
CRIVITZ — Northwood’s Apostolic Church will host a luncheon at the American Legion Sunday during its morning service. Fall Back Bash Raffle to be held Nov. 3
MENOMINEE — Menominee Kiwanis Fall Back Bash Raffle will be held at the Riverside Golf Club, Nov. 3 beginning at 6 p.m. A $20 ticket will admit two persons which includes food and refreshments. There will be bucket raffles, 50/50 raffles and many opportunities for prizes.

Crivitz to hold Veterans Day dinner
CRIVITZ — The Crivitz American Legion Post 413 Veterans Day dinner will be held at The Wood’s, Nov. 11. Social hour is at 1 p.m., with dinner at 2 p.m. This event is open to all veterans, their spouses and families. The cost is $19 per adult and $10 per child 10 years and younger. Veterans receive discount to concert
MARINETTE — The American Legion, in conjunction with Westlund Bus Lines and Ellis Langjahr, will sponsor a tour to attend the Allouez Village Band Veterans Day concert at the Meyer Theater, Green Bay, Nov. 13. The cost per person is $17 for veterans and a single guest; and $21 for non-veterans.
