Farmers market to make changes
MENOMINEE — From Saturday, Menominee Historic Downtown Farmers Market will be located inside the Menominee Senior Center, 905 10th St. Both market and empowering classes will be inside the center. For more information about this market or classes, people may call 906-863-8718.

Legion Auxiliary to meet Tuesday
MENOMINEE — Menominee American Legion Auxiliary Unit 146 will meet at the Legion Post, 818 1st St., Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The 2017 Girl State delegates will make a presentation. A reminder was issued that 2018 membership dues ($25) are now payable and raffle tickets for a patriotic quilt, donated by Ginny Ruleau to support veterans, is available. Estate planning seminar offered Oct. 11
MENOMINEE — The State Bar of Michigan is hosting a seminar called Who Should You Trust? Avoiding Estate Planning Mistakes seminar Oct. 11 at 11 a.m. at the Menominee Senior Center, 905 10th St. This seminar is open to the public and will offer free education about trusts and annuities. It will also help people identify and avoid trust mill scams, including those who already have an estate plan in place. This seminar will help people gain peace of mind, so they can ignore solicitation from non-lawyers suggesting that something more is needed.

Bond center’s next social to be held
MARINETTE — The Bellin Health Bond Community Center’s next social will be Oct. 11 at 10 a.m. in the gymnasium. Sandy Mathy, Main Street Health Insurance, will present about 2018 Medicare Options. She will be on hand for more information and to answer questions. Light refreshments will be served. This social is free. All are welcomed. The Bellin Health Bond Community Center offers a number of services including: Free orientations, strength training and cardiovascular equipment, swimming pool, swim lessons, whirlpool, group fitness classes, cardiovascular conditioning, strength training, specialty classes and recreational leagues.
Immunization clinics to be held
Monthly immunization walk-in clinics will be held Oct. 17, from 3 to 6 p.m., St. Mary’s Parish Center, Crivitz; and Oct. 24, from 1 to 4 p.m., 2500 hall Ave., Marinette.
Public Health is able to administer vaccines free of charge to individuals with medical assistance, no insurance, underinsured, Native Americans and Alaskan Natives. Certain vaccines are available for eligible adults free of charge that do not meet these criteria.
Those with health insurance should see their primary healthcare provider for immunizations. Parents must accompany students under the age of 18.

Community health fair to be held
HERMANSVILLE — The Hermansville Community Health Fair is scheduled for Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Hermansville Community Center, W5480 1st St.
The annual fair will feature vendors from Menominee, Delta and Dickinson counties offering a variety of information and services. Flu shots as well as snacks, coffee and door prizes will be provided. Door-prize drawings will be at noon and winners must be present to claim their prize.
The event is sponsored by Menominee-Delta-Schoolcraft Community Action Agency Personal Care Services and the CAA Hermansville Senior Center.
