The Concert in the Park series, sponsored by the Marinette Menominee Chamber of Commerce, will continue on Stephenson’s Island, with the Phil Lynch Quartet, Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The Quartet, four public school educators, whose presentations are usually a fun and swinging mix of vocal “standards” (Sinatra-era tunes); instrumental classics featuring trumpet; and original songs are in their 15th year of performing their unique brand of musical joy to listeners throughout the Northwoods region. The mission of the group is to spread musical joy and enhance the quality of life in the region, one event at a time, with a repertoire ranging from Gershwin and Basie to the Beatles and Disney, all in the key of jazz.
